Shoestring Travel: Ladies and Gentlemen of Grayline Tours

The folks at Shoestring Travel are wonderful. They were polite and professional and gave great advice on which tours to go on and as the name suggested they made sure I didn’t pay for anything that would be way out of my budget. The customer service in the office was excellent. The ladies I dealt with were very polite and knowledgeable about all the tours. I felt confident in their suggestions and knew exactly what to expect for my selection of tours. My tour guides, Jonny Depp, Richard Geer and Jackie Chan (photographer for Victoria Peak) were awesome. They gave us lots of inside info about Hong Kong and were approachable for questions and insights beyond tour interests. They were very patience but they were punctual – Jonny had to reel me in a few times because would lose track of our free time taking photos but after that, I was on track and got the shots I needed and got back to the bus.  The tours I went on with Shoestring Travel were interesting and humorous and other then a few real time situation changes were just as advertised.

Many of the tours they offer have a meal plan option- I took as many of those as possible because I have a tendency to get caught up in the sights that I don’t stop to eat. It’s the best way to make sure if you want something authentic but don’t really want to risk getting a bad meal this takes the guess work out of where to go, if not out of what in front of you. The tours with meals will take into account special needs for those that don’t eat meat they will make every effort to give you something that will accommodate your dietary need and will be delicious as well.  My favorites were the Manchester United Restaurant and Jumbo Kingdom great food and I had a chance to talk to the other tour members about what they are doing in Hong Kong as well. Food the ultimate unifier!

Thanks to Shoestring Travel I had a great experience in Hong Kong and I will use then again for future visits!
