Hidden Gem:Knutsford Terrace

Knutsford Terrace: Wine bars, Spanish food and Bars open late
The great thing about having free time on vacation to wonder around is the places you happen upon. I was doing a dry run for a bar I wanted to go to for Halloween called Bubbles. I found the street on the map and left to look for it. I was glad when it was much closer to my Hostel then I anticipated. I turned the corner to Knutsford Terrace as instructed by the street sign. The road was clearly elevated and was very narrow almost like an alley; I could see why they called it Terrace. Surely at one point they may have even had a view from here before they had to start building upwards.  As I walked up the street with the glowing building lights on the right side of the building façade, I had seen something familiar to me, something I read about in college. It was a sign that read El Cid. I thought to myself, “random Spanish in the middle of Hong Kong? I must find out more about this place!” So I picked up my pace a bit and as I got closer I realized it was a Spanish Tapas restaurant. To my surprise, Knutsford Terrace was lined with a bunch of cafes and wine bars and international food restaurants. Most of the establishments had seating inside and out, many with menus and pricing out front for a quick browse. The other end of the street is a staircase and elevators to access even more bars and eateries. Bubbles and Que Pasa Mexican/Spanish Restaurant are the two locations I visited, only because I came upon it so late in my trip, or I would have done a lot more here. If you are going to be in the Tsim Sha Tsui area in Kowloon, make sure to stop by here when you have some free time they will surely have something for you to relax or party the night away.
