Madame Tussauds’ is known for quality wax figures of many world renowned people from all walks of life. World leaders, sports stars and other artists are depicted here at the Wax Museum in Hong Kong. Their truly life-like appearance is incredible. It was exciting and likely the closest I have been to meeting some of my favorite figures from the past and the present. Not only do they have wax statues but they also have bronze cast hand prints of some of the people that didn’t have time as of yet to sit for a full cast for the wax mold. Lining the halls and stair cases between rooms is the history of how Madame Tussauds’ came to be what it is today. At the museum in Hong Kong there are 5 themed areas and over 100 statues for viewing and photos. My Favorites were Ip Man (Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu master), Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Jet Lee, US presidents Clinton and Obama, Princess Diana and Jackie Chan (could not get his picture because he was a feature and you can only get paid photos of him at that time). The only place that was not open when I went was the Slaughter house horror section. I really wanted to see that but they were renovating so I hope it’s up and running on my next visit because I really love creepy stuff like that. The museum in Hong Kong is one of the two permanent exhibits in Asia with the other being in Shanghai. See my photos below…
