This is the location of the Forever Blooming Bauhinia sculpture that was dedicated to Hong Kong at the handover ceremony in 1997 when Hong Kong went back to possession of China from England. It was a Gift from Chinese Central Government and placed in the Golden Bauhinia Square. This place was very busy and people from everywhere locals and loads of tour buses stopped for a chance to get a professional or amateur photos of this gilded flower. The Bauhinia is the national flower of Hong Kong and is featured on the flag and many ways on different forms of the currency for Hong Kong. I wanted to go to the square to see the changing of the guard that they have every morning but due to being super busy I was not able to get over there for it on this trip but I did make sure I picked this tour so I could see the Square for myself.
